02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Dirliebane Theatre Company is set up to provide high quality theatre performances for children, young people and their families. This work is always created alongside children and young people to reflect their thoughts, worries and ideas. Alongside our performance work we develop and deliver a learning and engagement programme using the practice of theatre clown to a wide variety of groups. These sessions promote access to the arts, creativity, social engagement and inclusion. We also run a artist development programme to train and promote the practice of theatre clown and provide fully accessible low cost training to artists and other interested practitioners across Scotland. Our core aims are CLOWN, CONNECTION and COMMUNITY.
