02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
LGBDG owns a number of adapted and accessible bikes and trikes which are available for use by people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health issues. This provides exercise and recreation which helps improve health and wellbeing.

Constitutional objectives
The objectives of LGBDG shall be to promote the benefit of cycling to persons (restrictions may apply due to the sizes of the equipment available) living in Dumfries & Galloway with disabilities and mental health issues, without distinction of gender, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by linking with local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance Outdoor Education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their health and conditions of life may be improved.
