02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity aims to provide a safe space for members to socialise with friends, make new friends and enjoy fun stimulating activities. It is run by volunteers. We host some activities ourselves eg. musical bingo, beetle drive, Greyfriars got talent and fun movement to music. We also rely on groups who come to entertain us, some voluntarily and some that we pay for. eg. Clowns, pipe band,bowling and theatre trips. We fundraise by our members doing a sponsored walk and we hold coffee mornings to enable the club to provide activities that the members enjoy. We also have had generous donations from supporters of the club, for which we are very grateful.
