The company's objects are to advance the arts, heritage and culture. to advance community development. and to advance environmental protection or improvement on the Islands of Barra and Vatersay. In furtherance of these objects the company shall: increase sustainability and promote and improve local skills in traditional activities such as growing, gardening, cooking, crofting, fishing, spinning, knitting, crochet and other crafts in an inclusive, accessible and affordable manner thus upskilling the local community as well as providing learning opportunities for visitors to the area. promote local food production and utilise local resources by providing areas for growing as well as access to machinery and equipment for the local community. encourage reuse, and recycling in the community and sharing of resources to reduce waste. hold shows and other events to demonstrate, celebrate and reward local skills, crafts and produce for all ages and members of the community. and do other such things considered by the Directors to be conducive to the above objects.
