02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our Mission is to rally the Outdoor Community to achieve meaningful climate action. We are committed to a just and equitable pathway to UK net zero by 2040. That means cutting greenhouse gas emissions, building sustainable transport, replacing fossil fuels with clean energy and ensuring those most affected by climate impacts and the transition are empowered and heard. To get there, we focus on four objectives: - Supporting businesses to work towards net zero - Embedding low-carbon transport at the heart of outdoor access - Driving a just transition beyond fossil fuels - Empowering stronger climate advocates

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 to unite and mobilize the outdoor sports community in the UK to act to reduce the impact of climate change by promoting the conservation, protection and improvement of the environment, through activities including but not limited to educational initiatives, advocacy work and community-based activism independent of any other organisation. and 4.2 to advance education to help people reduce their carbon emissions, live more sustainably and adapt to climate change.
