02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We strive to make Whiting Bay and Districts a great place to live and visit by fostering community involvement to maintain and enhance the environment, both natural and physical and to offer the opportunity to volunteer in a friendly situation. We aim to protect and promote the interests of all residents. Over the year, we run many events some of which are to raise funds and we have work parties to beach clean, maintain paths and litter pick. We manage and clean 2 public village toilets, run a putting green and provide a community boat slip and jetty. We publish and make available a free leaflet ”Walk you way round Whiting Bay” and maintain flower tubs. We work with and have the support of many other organisations, charities, local businesses and visitors but our purposes can only be achieved by the huge voluntary effort and work, of our members.
