02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Homelands Trust-Fife is an independent charity supporting people with disabilities, long-term health conditions and life-limiting illnesses, together with their families, friends and carers. We provide high-quality, purpose-built accessible holiday accommodation in Lundin Links, with specialist equipment available to meet a wide range of needs. We also operate the Paxton Centre, an accessible community hub offering a café, therapies, activities, room hire and volunteering opportunities. Through our lodges and community services, we aim to reduce isolation, support wellbeing and enable people to enjoy breaks, activities and social connections in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: 4.2.1 to provide for and assist those who are in need by reason of ill health or life limiting conditions and also their family members and/or carers. Assistance shall be provided to those in need through the provision of purpose built self-catering, holiday facilities and community hub facilities, on the site known as Homelands, Lundin Links. and 4.2.2 To generally promote, advance and improve facilities provided to those who are affected by disability and their carers/family in the United Kingdom.
