What the charity exists to do

Provides a facility for men to undertake projects both for the benefit of the local community and for themselves, and provides a social facility, to achieve the charity's main purpose of alleviating social isolation and improving men's mental health.

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are to advance the health and well being. relieve the needs by reason of social isolation. enable the community involvement. and provide a recreational facility for the use of primarily, but not exclusively, adult men of all ages and backgrounds living in East Dunbartonshire. It will achieve these purposes by: 4.1 Creating, developing and maintaining a facility, namely a Men's Shed. 4.2 Offering opportunities for men in the East Dunbartonshire area to meet and undertake creative, physical, purposeful and recreational activities of their choice 4.3 Reducing isolation of men in the area thus contributing to their physical and mental wellbeing. 4.4 Developing the capacity of men in East Dunbartonshire to share their skills and knowledge with others in the community 4.5 Supporting & encouraging the development of Men's Sheds across East Dunbartonshire.
