02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
SCC’s has two main charitable purposes, as outlined in the SCIO governing document, these are summarized as: • to advance the Christian faith • to relieve sickness and financial hardship and preserve good health The vision of the church is to transform lives and community by God. We do this by a weekly church service and dedicated groups to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the local community. We are here to serve the local community of Seaton and Aberdeen.

Constitutional objectives
4.1.1. To advance the Christian Faith in accordance with the statement of Faith of the Assemblies of God, as approved by the General Council of the Assemblies of God, from time to time and in such parts of the United Kingdom, or the world as the Church Council may from time to time think fit. 4.1.2. To relieve sickness and financial hardship, and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods, or services of any kind, through the provision of counselling and support in such parts of the United Kingdom or the world as the Church Council, from time to time thinks fit. 4.1.3. To carry out such other charitable purposes as shall further the attainment of the above purposes of the Church or any of them.
