02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to maintain Gattonside village hall for the benefit of people of Gattonside and surrounding area .We fund raise to do this , by putting on events such as soup lunch , cheese and wine , quizetc . We also put on events such as an annual carol concert, Chat room and bonfire with fireworks to act as social events for a range of villagers , eg elderly young and families . We also rent the hall out for regular uses such as Scottish Country dancing , yoga , sewing group . It can also be rented for one off events such as childrens parties , small weddings etc .

The organisations purposes are: To provide and maintain Gattonside Village Hall for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Gattonside and environs in the Scottish Borders, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, for recreation, leisure and educational purposes of all kinds with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants
