02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Better Days Foundation provides information, support and hope to men who need it, including those going through a tough or difficult time. We are primarily - although not exclusively - concerned with supporting men, recognising that certain issues in life can adversely affect them and place them at a disadvantage. We aim to raise awareness of these issues. We also welcome enquiries from mothers, sisters, other family members and friends seeking information or support. We have a particular focus on health and wellbeing. We do this by providing confidential one-to-one advice, assistance and signposting. offering ad-hoc 1-2-1 counselling with a qualified specialist. and running sports and recreation programmes that encourage healthy living and support physical and mental health. The charity operates on a part-time, voluntary basis and its activities reflect the resources available to it.
