Community led buy out managing a crofting estate for the benefit of the local community.

4 The company has been formed to benefit the community of Marrel, West Helmsdale, Gartymore and Portgower, which comprises the postcodes KW8 6Hl, KW8 6HW, KW8 6HN, KW8 6HJ, KW8 6HH,KW8 6HU and KW8 6HT ('the Community') with the following objects: (1) The advancement of community development (including the advancement of rural regeneration) within the Community. (2) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. (3) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (4) The advancement of the arts, heritage and culture. But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development.
