02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Night Before Christmas Campaign works to prevent and relieve poverty by providing Christmas gifts, essential items and practical support to children, young people and vulnerable adults across South West Scotland. We work with referral partners, schools, health professionals and other organisations to identify those most in need. Throughout the year we collect donations, organise fundraising events, recruit and support volunteers, purchase essential items where needed and distribute them directly to individuals and families. Our aim is to ensure that those experiencing poverty or hardship receive practical support, dignity and kindness when they need it most.
