Constitutional objectives

The Club is a non-profit distributing charity whose principal objectives are (i) to encourage and advance the public participation in sport and (ii) the advancement of the public participation in the sport of tennis by the provision of coaching and facilities for participating in Lawn Tennis in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the Lawn Tennis Association through Tennis Scotland, the governing body within the game of lawn tennis and its subsidiaries or such successor entity or entities from time to time (and by so doing to become and remain registered as an associate of the LTA), and the LTA Rules and the LTA Disciplinary Code and the rules and regulations of any governing body. To further these objectives, the Club will seek: 1. To advance the public participation in sport and to advance the education of children, young people and adults through the provision of coaching opportunities to engage in the study, practice and teaching of all aspects of lawn tennis to develop their mental and physical capacities and will enable them to improve the conditions of life. 2. To support, where possible, underprivileged children and youths, to participate in the amateur sport of Lawn Tennis by fostering a community spirit for the achievement of these and such other purposes as may by law be deemed to be charitable and to further the development of the appreciation of Lawn Tennis by members and by the public. 3. To do all such other things as shall further the objectives of The Club
