02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We offer opportunities for locally disadvantaged residents to go shopping, both to the local shops and to the more distant supermarkets and business, at least three times per week, sometimes more. We offer trips during the summer months, often including a meal, and we host a catered Christmas dinner annually. We also offer the use of our minibus to other organisations, including an Eventide Club, the Visually Impaired People's Club and other local organisations.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The relief of those residing in the area of the West Mainland, Orkney who are in need because they are disadvantaged due to age, ill-health. disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage and in furtherance thereof. 4.1.1 to increase their mobility through providing free transport. 4.1.2 to provide social outings and 4.1.3 to maintain an association with residential homes and sheltered housing in Stromness to provide for the transport needs of their residents
