What the charity exists to do

THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM, THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF MUSLIM CHILDREN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTRINES OF ISLAM, THE RELIEF OF PEOPLE WHO ARE POOR AND NEEDY.

Constitutional objectives

The aims and objectives of the Trust shall be as follows:- (a) The advancement of the religion of Islam in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of Holy Qur'an and Sunnah (the practice of Holy Prophet Muhammad 'Peace be upon him'. (b) The advancement of the education of Muslim children in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of Islam. (c) The relief of Muslims who are poor and needy. In order to fulfil the above objects, the Trust shall have the following powers:- (a) The establishment and maintenance of Mosque and Madrassahs (Islamic schools) for the religious education of Muslim children. (b) To render help and facilities for the performance of religious rites on occasions of marriages, deaths, etc. (c) To maintain Cemeteries and provide facilities for burials. (d) To organise collection and disbursements of Zakat (obligatory payment of alms) and itra. (e) To organise religious activities. (f) To publish or to provide for the publication of books for use as texts as otherwise in Madrassah (Islamic schools) or similar institutions. (g) To co-operate with other bodies having similar or sympathetic aims and generally, to do all such other acts necessary to further the objects of the Trust or any of the said bodies.
