02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The groups objectives are to work as closely as possible with Aberdeenshire Council to ensure the Cemetery is kept to an acceptable standard. While the responsibility for all major works within the Cemetery are always the Councils, the Friends volunteers work away in the background ensuring that the Cemetery is a welcoming and calming area for all visitors, through keeping it tidy and colourful with various plants and flowers in the designed areas for this.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To advance environmental protection and improvement within the cemetery for wildlife, to reintroduce native wild flowers, and the protection of our green spaces. 4.2 To provide recreational and educational activities for the community within the cemetery, giving the opportunity for leisure time within the cemetery. 4.3 To advance the heritage of the cemetery through the upkeep and restoration of historic areas within the cemetery
