What the charity exists to do
The full expression of the charitable purpose as set out in our proposed Articles of Association is: 'The advancement of the Christian religion in Scotland and elsewhere through the establishment, for the public benefit, of a congregation or congregations of Christian believers who hold that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the supreme authority and rule in matters of faith and life.'

Constitutional objectives
The purpose for which the Church is established as a legal entity is the advancement of the Christian religion in Scotland and elsewhere through the establishment, for the public benefit, of a congregation or congregations of Christian believers who hold that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the supreme authority and rule in matters of faith and life (declaring that, notwithstanding any provision of the Companies Acts or any other provision of the Articles, it shall not be competent to amend or vary this Article 2.1 or introduce any provision which is inconsistent herewith).
