02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Running of the Thursday night ELC/Primary Youth club (30-40 attendees) Organisation of additional events such as: Christmas, Halloween, summer parties (all free) – attendees have peaked at 57 School holiday events (all free) – free food, activities and trips to help address holiday hunger. Running of the community Sharing is Caring shed to address net zero targets, minimise wastage and provide food support. Running of the newly established Community Greenhouse to educate and enable local people of all ages to become self sufficient, grow their own products and gain horticultural knowledge. Funding applications to support the local community during and on an ongoing basis to support people with the cost of living crisis challenges they are facing i.e. food and fuel vouchers, warm items.

Constitutional objectives
4.1 To help and to educate young persons, through their leisure time activities, so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities, that they may grow up to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved. 4.2 The provision of recreational facilities and the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life and fostering a community spirit for the persons resident in the Castletown and surrounding area.
