Constitutional objectives
4. The organisation?s purposes are: 4.1 To advance and promote the heritage of the local area (the ancient Royal Burgh of Cullen, Deskford Parish, the town of Portknockie and their immediate environs) by means of: 4.1.1 The study of local history and heritage through research and contact with local people. The collation and preservation of all heritage information and artefacts gained or received. Planning and coordination of public meetings. Supporting people in their search for their local ancestry or other historical connections. Acting as a local voice with the Moray Council and the local Community Councils for all heritage-related issues. Liaising with other heritage-based organisations and agencies as necessary, particularly in the coordination of heritage related activities across North East Scotland. Providing heritage displays at local events. Giving heritage-related talks and presentations to local societies and other organisations. 4.1.2 To create and maintain long term, whether by the long term lease or ownership of suitable property, a Heritage Centre to better achieve those aims stated in clause 4.1.1 and any other activities commensurate with these aims.
