02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Broch Community First Responders are a group of volunteers who completed training to allow then to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service when there is no Ambulances available. We volunteer in our free time to work alongside the Ambulance Service to help save lives. We train every week to keep our skills up and we are always learning new things. We also train other how to carry out effective CPR to save lives.

Constitutional objectives

The organisations purposes are: 4.1 Provision of prompt and appropriate medical care for persons in distress, or suffering life threatening conditions 4.2 Providing CPR and AED assistance when required 4.3 Training members of the public in CPR,(in line with the Scottish Government out of hospital Cardiac Arrest Strategy), thus helping to increase the chances of someone surviving an out of hospital cardiac arrest 4.4 The promotion of Public Access Defibrillators in local communities
