02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To benefit the residents of Star Village and its outlying related areas, including Star Primary School, by assisting Fife Council to promote community facilities to advance education, equality, inclusivity, wellbeing and community spirit. The charity raises funds, promotes and supports community activities. The hall is used weekly by the school, sports clubs and for different dance classes. Church services and coffee mornings are run monthly with other events on a regular basis including fairs, birthday parties and village social events.

Constitutional objectives
4.1 to maintain and manage, or to co-operate with any local statutory authority or authorities in the maintenance and management of the Village Hall and its grounds (hereinafter referred to as lithe hall') for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Star and its environs as a means to advance citizenship and/or community development. 4.2 promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Star and its environs (hereinafter called lithe neighbourhood') by associating the voluntary organisations, local authorities and the community in ?a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation of the community to improve the quality of life, and to act as an advisory body in the provision of such facilities
