02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Throughout the year we have received donations from charities, friends and supporters, this has been used to purchase food, clothing, toys and essentials for families living in poverty. We have also purchased furniture and resources for our new Nurture Room. We are continuing with together time and provide breakfast for every child in the school. We still organise Halloween parties. however they were in the individual classrooms, as an organisation we purchase extra treats for the children. We still provide Christmas Parties for the children in the evening. We also donated money so that the school could provide a panto for the children. We also help parents with our opportunities fund (hardship money). This is given to parents who are in dire need. If they have no food and cannot attend the food bank again during the month. If they have no electricity or gas, if children require beds, washing machines, winter coats, clothes for camp, alarm clocks, mobile phone.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To relieve poverty within the Forthview community. We would do this by setting up different groups to look at areas and topics such as budgeting, healthy eating, financial advice, uniform and book swaps. We also currently provide an opportunities fund, which is available to all in the school and community. This fund can help relieve poverty by providing help towards children's residential camps, school trips, fuel bills, food and other emergency requirements. 4.2 We would provide recreational activities to improve conditions of life for the Forthview community, such as attending events where it is a safe, friendly familiar environment. We feel that quality family time would help parents and children's self esteem, give them more confidence, and help their relationships.
