02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Smart Denny is dedicated to tackling the dual challenges of climate change and fuel poverty within Denny & Dunipace. Our core aim is to provide educational support and advice on efficient energy use, helping families & individuals lower their carbon output and reduce bills. To ensure the highest quality of service, we commit to keeping our key staff up-to-date with relevant training activities. We enhance this support through direct action, distributing home-warming items—including clothing and winter warmer packs during the colder months to help households stay warm and reduce reliance on costly heating. We do this by building trust through community-led initiatives and drop-in sessions, while also actively collaborating with other local stakeholders to extend our reach to all residents in need. A key focus is developing practical solutions to tackle the impact of rising from rising fuel costs, ensuring our support reaches as many people as we can in the community.
