02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We need to focus on men’s health and welfare by providing a facility where men can socialise with other men. This helps to overcome loneliness and isolation. We encourage men to share skills thereby improving men’s chances of integrating into the wider society or perhaps even gaining employment. The whole ethos is mental and physical improvement by sharing experiences. We always have the kettle on so that men can have tea or coffee with biscuits in the social area. This is the area where conversations about health take place often signposting men to health experts for further treatments.
