02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
EHTG is set up to promote research, education and service development for inherited cancers. It does this by providing a forum for research and clinical workers in the field to undertake collaborative research, exchange ideas and learn from one another. EHTG hold scientific conferences every 1 to 2 years, develops clinical guidelines and provides regular newsletters to its members.

Constitutional objectives
The objects for which the Company is established are: (i) To foster, promote and advance the knowledge of inherited cancer including prevention, detection and clinical management and so advance health. and (ii) To promote education and research devoted to the study of the origin and causes, relief, cure, treatment, prevention lessening and alleviation of inherited cancer or any disease of an allied or similar nature.
