02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

EHTG is a medical and scientific specialist society whose membership includes health practitioners and scientists who undertake or support research and education on inherited conditions that predispose to cancer or who treat or advise individuals affected by or at risk of these conditions. The Society is set up to provide a forum for international information sharing and collaborative research into inherited cancer predisposition conditions. It does this by bringing together those with a shared interest in these conditions at its annual meetings and via its website, newsletters, podcasts and other communications.n

Constitutional objectives

The objects for which the Company is established are: (i) To foster, promote and advance the knowledge of inherited cancer including prevention, detection and clinical management and so advance health. and (ii) To promote education and research devoted to the study of the origin and causes, relief, cure, treatment, prevention lessening and alleviation of inherited cancer or any disease of an allied or similar nature.
