02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Woodlands Community Sports Ltd was set up to provide affordable, high quality sports and community facilities for local people. Its purpose is to remove barriers to participation by ensuring that access to well maintained pitches and indoor space is not limited by cost or availability. The charity operates a floodlit 3G pitch, indoor games hall, changing facilities and meeting rooms, all programmed for community use. These facilities support grassroots football, schools, youth groups and wider community activity, with income reinvested back into maintenance and improvement. By combining strong governance, sustainable pricing and ongoing investment, Woodlands protects a vital local asset and ensures it continues to promote physical activity, inclusion and community connection.
