02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

VERSE Stories exists to support people affected by global crises — poverty, lack of clean water, food insecurity, and inadequate shelter. We identify individuals or families in genuine need and tell their story through short documentary-style films, which we share on our website and social media channels. This storytelling drives donations from supporters around the world who connect with the people featured. We then use those donations to directly provide practical support — whether that's funding, resources, or services — to improve the beneficiary's circumstances. Throughout the process we document the impact of each donation, showing donors exactly how their contribution changed someone's life. In short: we combine filmmaking and digital storytelling with direct giving, creating a transparent link between donor and beneficiary.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: To help humans who are effected by global headlines and in need of desperate support. The association will highlight, support and help the course of a growing range of global issues: 4.1 To support and alleviate those in severe poverty by raising support through short films and providing those in need of adequate resources to end poverty, from water, food and shelter. 4.2 To relieve and support those subject to racial and gender inequality, by producing films that will raise awareness of discrimination against LGBT people. 4.3 To provide essential aid to those effected by environmental disasters by documenting their situation and then providing them with shelter, aid and food. 4.4 To relieve those subject to exploitation and discrimination by raising awareness of both the victim and perpetrator through short films. 4.5 To advance environmental protection and improvement by providing equipment to help better protect and sustain the environment. The association will provide the right financial aid to support those in need who are subjected to the above.
