02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We mostly hold events that fundraise for the school to ensure pupils have more opportunities and experiences than they otherwise would have - these experiences are then either completely free or heavily subsidised. We also provide funding for the pupils to have subsidised items (e.g. P7 leaver hoodies). We hold events that are not for profit too. solely for the enjoyment of the children - these are also either free or heavily subsidised (we may charge a very small fee to attend so we can break even - e.g. our Halloween Disco is £1 a ticket). We work closely with the school and provide funding for things that they feel would be beneficial (e.g. playground markings, books), and also work well with our local community and encourage them to support their local school and children. The wider community support often means free snacks for events (usually provided by the COOP), and raffle prizes for fundraisers.
