Provide classes and self help groups in various arts and crafts subjects including painting, drawing, printmaking, pottery, clay portraiture, kiln glass, weaving, spinning, upholstery, basketmaking, knitting, silver jewellery and woodcarving.

Constitutional objectives
To promote and encourage the study, practice and knowledge of the visual arts and crafts in East Lothian through, inter alia, arranging or assisting in organising a range of classes, workshops, self-help groups, exhibitions and programmes and promoting other activities of an educational, cultural, craft or artistic nature. cooperating with local authorities, local artistic, craft, educational and cultural organisations and societies. and the promotion of the establishment of local art and craft centres and similar institutions.
