02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Survivors Unite provides dedicated, skilled, compassionate and flexible sexual abuse recovery support to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the Scottish Borders through the provision of the Safe Oaks Project. Our Safe Oaks Project is based in our premises at Tweedmill Business Park, Selkirk. All staff are friendly, welcoming and understand the effects of abuse and trauma. Our confidential support is free and your safety is our priority.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation's purposes are the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through: 4.1 Providing safe, confidential, person-centred support for adults who have experienced childhood sexual abuse, to their families and significant others in the Scottish Borders 4.2 To be a credible and trusted peer support organisation with established referral pathways that those working with survivors can signpost to, and those using the service can be signposted from. 4.3 Raising awareness , support prevention and reduce stigma around issues affecting survivors of childhood sexual abuse in the Scottish Borders
