02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide for relief of poverty and hunger. Our principle service is the provision of Food Parcels to those referred to us my a number of local authority agencies. We employ 3 full time workers that organise the daily routines, coordinate with referral agencies and work with our volunteers to ensure that we have the necessary supplies to maintain our services. In addition to providing food parcels, we also operate a weekly lunch club for the elderly in our community. This entails the cooking of food on the premises, and the organisation of transport from home to club and back. In providing these services were are supported by the Local Authority who provide funds for food and food vouchers
