02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Inverclyde Vineyard Church (IVC) was established in 2019 as a vibrant outward looking faith-based community committed as much to non-members as to its members. IVC carries out a number of activities including:- Weekly Church Services. Children’s activities. discipleship groups. Community Café: Family Community Gatherings. Pastoral Care. and other activates to serve the local community of Inverclyde.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are: 1. To advance the Christian religion for the public benefit, in accordance with the Statement of Faith hereto attached, in particular (but not exclusively) by the holding of public worship, teaching, training, outreach, and the provision of facilities for Christian activities. 2. To promote religious and racial harmony for the public benefit, in particular by fostering understanding, cooperation and positive relationships between people of different beliefs and backgrounds. 3. To relieve those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, in particular by the provision of support, advice, practical assistance and community services. 4. To advance such other purposes as are recognised as charitable under the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, or any statutory re-enactment, and which are analogous to the foregoing purposes, as determined by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
