02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The advancement of the Christian gospel in Scotland and elsewhere. For this purpose but not otherwise, the Trustees shall make grants and donations to enable children and young people who would not otherwise be able to attend Christian Holiday Camps or events to do so. support Christian witness in schools, particularly by giving financial support to those who are not receiving other means of support. give grants to other Christian Missionary organisations. give grants to local Churches or assemblies of Christians and to give grants to individuals engaged in the teaching and propagation of the Christian gospel.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 The advancement of the Christian gospel in Scotland and elsewhere. For this purpose but not otherwise, the Trustees shall make grants and donations to enable children and young people who would not otherwise be able to attend Christian Holiday Camps or events to do so. support Christian witness in schools, particularly by giving financial support to those who are not receiving other means of support. give grants to other Christian Missionary organisations. give grants to local Churches or assemblies of Christians and to give grants to individuals engaged in the teaching and propagation of the Christian gospel. 4.2 The organisation considers the Christian gospel to include the following doctrines:- 1. The Divine inspiration, authority, and sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures. 2. The Trinity of the Godhead, necessarily including the Deity of the Lord Jesus equally with the Father and the Holy Spirit. 3. The incarnation of the Son of God into true and sinless manhood by means of His virgin conception. 4. The atoning sacrifice of Christ, as a propitiation for the remission of sins, His bodily resurrection and ascension, His present exaltation and His future literal return in glory. 5. The fall of man and his consequent depravity necessitating the Holy Spirit?s work in regeneration and sanctification. 6. The justification of the sinner before God by faith in Christ alone. 7. That at death the soul of man does not cease to exist or become unconscious. 8. That the dead will be raised, either to life or condemnation. 9. That the blessedness of the righteous and the punishment of the unrighteous will be alike eternal. 4.3 To relieve poverty.
