What the charity exists to do
To aid persons resident on the Isle of Bute who are at risk of or are in poverty. Also if found expedient and funds permit we also make small grants for educational purposes.

Constitutional objectives
The organisations purposes are: 4.1 The prevention or relief of poverty. 4.2 The advancement of education The SCIO will achieve this by affording aid to persons resident on, or belonging to Bute, principally such as are of advanced age. If found expedient the SCIO will also make small grants for educational purposes.
