The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of health (including the prevention or relief or sickness, disease or human suffering) in Scotland amongst people living within disadvantaged communities by 4.1.1 raising awareness of the psychological and emotional impact created from events leading to their role as kinship carers. 4.1.2 encouraging carers to focus more fully on their needs to improve their overall well-being. 4.1 .3 supporting carers to implement healthy structures and boundaries within the family home. 4.1.4 breaking negative generational patterns in order to implement effective life changes. 4.1 .5 mentoring kinship carers. 4.1.6 providing an advocacy role. 4.2 The advancement of education in Scotland amongst people living within disadvantaged communities by: 4.2.1 providing assessment and information which empowers kinship carers to understand the importance of their pivotal role within the family dynamics. 4.2.2 identifying and raising awareness of the necessity to introduce and maintain strong structures and boundaries within the family dynamics. 4.2.3 providing information and support in maintaining newly learned structures. 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in Scotland amongst people living within deprived communities by: 4.3.1 providing intense person-centred emotional and psychological support in the privacy of their own home. 4.3.2 providing one to one integrative structured solution focussed counselling sessions. 4.3.3 providing therapeutic group work to kinship carers. 4.3.4 providing mentoring to kinship carers and advocacy to provide representation to kinship children.
