02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Ananda Animal Sanctuary is set up to rescue and provide shelter for farm animals in need and to help improve the way society views farm animals. We achieve this by taking in animals from neglect or saved from slaughter and we run tours for the public to educate them on farm animal wellbeing, their personality and overall that they are very much the same as our beloved companion animals.

Constitutional objectives

The company's objects are: 1) The advancement of farm animal welfare. Farm animals are massively under-represented in terms of animal welfare despite having similar emotional capacities and intelligence as dogs.
