02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Autism on the Water is a charity that aims to increase awareness of the autistic spectrum through sailing and boating and provide FREE opportunities on the water. It helps individuals on the autistic spectrum build their confidence by proving opportunities to take part in sailing activities as part of a team and undertaking technical operations. We provide boats and experienced sailors to take people out on the water where they can take part as far as they feel comfortable.

The charitable purposes of the Company are the advancement of education, the advancement of citizenship or community development, the advancement of public participation in sport, and the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational facilities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended by: 2.1 Providing facilities for yachting and boat sailing at sea and tuition in seamanship and navigation for individuals on the autistic spectrum, their families, and their carers.
