02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Sports & Well-Being for All Trust SCIO is a community charity dedicated to improving the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of people of all ages and abilities. We provide an inclusive, welcoming environment where individuals can improve their health, build confidence, reduce isolation and develop new skills. We achieve this by delivering affordable access to our community gym, therapeutic fitness sessions, youth activities, sports leadership programmes, mental health awareness initiatives, holiday programmes, family activities and community events. We work closely with local partners, volunteers and professionals to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate, regardless of their background, ability or financial circumstances. Our aim is to create healthier, stronger and more connected communities by promoting active lifestyles, improving mental wellbeing and empowering people to reach their full potential.
