02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our mission is to promote, enable and facilitate inclusive activities, which embrace and address the education, training, employment, welfare, health, social, cultural and recreational needs of the local community and district. We do this by providing a range of affordable spaces and facilities for hire to local individuals and groups, and by staging events for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community.

Constitutional objectives
4 .1 To advance education among the residents (the 'beneficiaries') of the Area of Benefit ( see Item 5) through the development and implementation of programmes of community education for the said beneficiaries. and 4.2 To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for education, recreation or other leisure time occupation, for the benefit of the said beneficiaries where such provision is: 4.2.1 the benefit of social welfare 4.2.2 made with the objects of improving the conditions of life of people in the Area of Benefit. 4.3 To advance citizenship and promote volunteering among the beneficiaries through the provision of opportunities for them to take an active part in the civic life of their communities.
