What the charity exists to do
Turf Youth and Community Project is a dynamic, community-focused charity dedicated to empowering young people, families, and communities within Glasgow’s Southside. Through an array of engaging activities, projects, and support services, Turf creates an inclusive space where individuals can connect, learn, and grow. Our universal approach provides a welcoming environment for all ages, fostering personal development and resilience through meaningful relationships and collective support. Turf’s commitment to building a stronger, connected and more vibrant community is at the heart of everything we do.

Using youth work and Community Learning and Development methodology to provide informal learning experiences and opportunities 4.2 The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. Focusing on a holistic approach to support physical, social and emotional wellbeing. 4.3 The advancement of health. Facilitating and promoting activities and services that support positive mental wellbeing. 4.4 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. Providing a safe space to access support, promote inclusion and reduce social isolation. 4.5 Promotion of equality and diversion. Providing services that reflect the needs of the community. 4.6 The advancement of citizenship or community development.
