02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our mission is to realise the potential of Fisherrow Harbour and Seafront for the Common Good of the local community, maximising the social and economic potential of one of the community’s most valuable assets. Our Vision includes: * Supporting the local community and organisations to flourish and promote activity that improves health and well being. * Securing funding for facilities and infrastructure to enable investment in the valuable assets that make Fisherrow an attractive community. * Encouraging and supporting local businesses who provide an amenity so that they can prosper. * Developing the harbour and seafront into an attractive destination for visitors who generate an income for the local community.

Constitutional objectives
4 The Association's purposes are to: 4.1 Advance the community development of Fisherrow Harbour and Seafront and the local environment through, sport, leisure and ancillary activities. 4.2 Support the community to repair, maintain, conserve and improve Fisherrow Harbour, harbour facilities and Seafront in an efficient, effective and best value manner. 4.3 Increase awareness of the local heritage and culture through facilitation of wider access to a range of activities and events which showcase the harbour and the local area's history. 4.4 Advance public participation in sport and related activities, e.g. rowing, sailing and other water and beach based sports. 4.5 Promote leisure and recreation activities at the harbour and seafront and encourage residents, non-residents etc. to visit the area.
