02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The original plan was to develop a small parcel of unused land within the current Public Park for sports use only. Plans have gained widespread approval from our local MP, MSP and Councillors an exciting opportunity has arisen that would enable a true community hub to be built that could be the outdoor recreation capital of Hillfoots, a hub for walking and cycling. A plot of land just outside the village of Tillicoultry, within a large area of land already designated by the Council for sporting use, has been purchased by a local business, Woods Coaches of Tillicoultry. They are very supportive of helping to develop a community and sporting facility and furthermore intend to create an equestrian centre whose main aim is to provide for riding for the disabled.
