Constitutional objectives

The Company's objects ('the Objects') which are to be exclusively for the benefit of the public, are: (1) To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society by: - Encouraging transport providers to adapt transport services to meet the needs of those who are socially excluded and to provide safe and convenient transport facilities to meet those needs. - Raising awareness of the transport needs of people who are socially excluded. For the purpose of this clause 'socially excluded means being excluded from society, or parts of society as a result of one or more of the following factors: financial hardship, youth or old age, ill health (physical or mental) or disability, living in areas where there is no adequate transport provision, being unable to provide for transport from personal resources. (2) To promote for the public benefit high standards of urban and rural transport planning and service delivery in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and conditions and to educate the public in a better understanding of the social and economic changes affecting public transport provision.
