02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
EAAC is a charity established to provide athletic training for athletes aged nine and upwards. Our purpose is to encourage participation in sport, improve fitness, and support personal growth for every athlete, regardless of background or ability. We offer structured training sessions at least twice a week in a safe and supportive environment. The club is run by Trustees and volunteers who ensure activities are inclusive, well-organised, and community focused. Through athletics, we aim to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience, as well as provide pathways for young athletes to progress and reach their potential. EAAC raises funds through membership fees, donations, grants, and events, with all income reinvested into coaching, equipment, and facilities. Our goal is to sustain accessible, affordable, and high-quality opportunities for children, young people and adults to engage in sport and enjoy its lifelong benefits.
