02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to provide day and residential facilities for predominately Girlguiding but also third party organisations such as Scouts, Youth Police Scotland and National Trust Volunteers. It's Committee comprises of a Chairperson, Vice- Chairperson, Treasurer, Booking and minutes secretary and ordinary members who ensure the smooth operation and day to day running of the facility and ensure compliance with all the appropriate legislation, guidance and COP's. The charity aims to provide children/young people with opportunities that promote resilience and wellbeing through being involved in residentials. The Charity’s vision: an equal world, where girls can make a positive difference, be happy, safe and fulfil their potential. The Charity offers various activities and opportunities and through fun, friendship challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community.

The object of the organization shall be the advancement of citizenship and community development and in furtherance of this to provide supervision, maintenance and control of the heritable property forming the building and ground known as Fyvie Guide House, Cuminestown Road, Fyvie, Turriff on behalf of Girlguiding Banff & Buchan and Girlguiding Gordon
