02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
It is set up to promote and advance the transition to a Wellbeing Economy in Scotland. We do this through our work and activities to build an influential and diverse movement to co-create narratives and policies for a Wellbeing Economy, empowering underrepresented voices and collaborating with others. change the narrative in media and public discourse to create widespread belief in and support for a Wellbeing Economy. and by influencing policy, advocacy and campaigns. and through projects and research that demonstrate Wellbeing Economy principles in action.

Constitutional objectives
The organisations purposes are: To advance education, and in particular to increase knowledge and understanding of (a) the impacts which differing economic systems may have on the wellbeing of people and the environment and (b) the principles associated with delivering sustainable and fair economic development. and To promote and support progress towards a wellbeing economy as a means to advance health, advance active citizenship and community development, advance environmental protection and relieve those in need by reason of financial hardship or other disadvantage and on the basis that: 'wellbeing economy' shall be taken to mean an economy where success is measured by the wellbeing of people, societies and nature. and the primary focus of the organisation's work shall be in Scotland.
