02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Neuro Hebrides was set up to support individuals and carers living with a neurological condition in the Western Isles. This is achieved through representation on local bodies eg Managed Clinical Network, Patient Panel. collaboration with other neurological charities on campaigns. providing regular group meetings for social and information purposes. access to counselling and therapies such as massage for members, free of charge, and 'on tour' events where an accessible minibus will take members to various locations or activities outwith the main town of Stornoway. We raise funds locally and apply for relevant grants from a range of organisations.

The organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for those suffering from or affected by neurological conditions.
