02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Trust supports and develops outdoor activities, manages and develops a garden for community use, supports volunteering opportunities and projects, raises funds and implements environmental improvements around the Country Park and works in partnership with a wide array of stakeholders including the local council, Scottish Water, and the local landowners. Our primary aim is to involve the users of the park and the wider community with the ongoing development of the park, encourage its usage for the benefit and the welfare of all and to enable the Park to better realise its full potential. The Trust works strategically to further develop the park and the opportunities and facilities provided within the Park and sits on a multi agency steering group to advance an agreed and published master plan for this purpose.
