What the charity exists to do

Mission Statement East Lothian ELRF (ELRF) is a community based group which aims to engage with local people and promote the benefits of healthy eating through access to education and affordable fresh produce. Vision ELRF seeks to develop and expand its role of supporting East Lothian communities to access fresh produce and advice and support for health eating by working in partnership with local people and organisations. ELRF is innovative in its response to the needs of local people and forward thinking in the means by which it develops a sustainable community based organisation.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage though offering accessible affordable fresh fruit and vegetables from our community hub, and delivery service. 4.2 The advancement of education through the provision of highly interactive workshops and courses that focus on affordable cooking, nutrition and health promotion, especially in, but not limited to, areas of high deprivation.
